Receptionist(e) (pre-opening) [Netherlands]

 

Citadines Canal Amsterdam will open its doors in 2023 and we are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join The Ascott Limited’s newest flagship in Europe!

Our historic and heritage property with 93 rooms is currently being renovated and we are expected to open at Q3 in 2023. We would like the position of Receptionist to join us from June alongside the Front Office Supervisor and team to ensure the hotel is ready when the key is handed over to us. Among other things, you will be involved in supporting the pre-opening and be jointly responsible to make sure everything runs smoothly from day one. When the property is operational, you will be responsible for:

· Living the Citadines persona to ensure that our guests have the level of service and standards expected.

· You are the first point of contact of our hotel, you will offer our guests a warm welcome and help them with the check in or check out or help them on their way in Amsterdam.

· You deal with guest- or reservations requests in a timely and efficient manner by telephone or by email.

· You work together closely with the other departments, to make sure everything is arranged for our guests.

To be successful in this role, you will:

· Previous experience is an advantage, but an enthusiastic and eager to learn attitude is much more important.

· You are flexible, it won’t be a problem to work different shifts, during the week but also in the weekends.

· You are enthusiastic, service orientated and stress-resistant.

· Effective communication skills in written and spoken Dutch and/or English.

· You are up for a challenge and know how to surprise our guests.

Weren't you excited enough yet? The location and building of your possible new job is also fantastic. The property is located in a monumental building from the 17th century, it has been a hotel since the 1960s, but before that it was a weaver's cottage. In any case, there is enough history to see and tell about the property, which is already 350 years old. The location can also be called unique, just a 3-minute walk from the Vijzelgracht metro station. Ideal for your commute and after work you are immediately in the city to do some shopping, or to have a drink (whether or not with your new colleagues).
